1994 - Marked

Likewise at 35 years of age, in similar circumstances, I experienced in yet an even deeper way, the same life-giving truth that became well and truly etched upon my heart, and has marked and shaped my life since and everything I do. 

At the heart of the grace that my forebears knew and I also know, are the words Jesus spoke and I took hold of at an early age. He said, "I am the way and the truth and the life" — John 14:6. To this day and now in my 60’s, in and through all I have experienced, I have turned to and looked to Him, whose love, grace and authority are incomparable. Indeed, to the exclusion of all others, ‘I am’ is what anyone before Him and since, is measured by.

My Chinese and Scottish forefathers, along with my mother through whom this rich heritage came, went to their graves having known and stood the test about the reality that Jesus, the Son of God, is our only true Deliverer and Saviour, through His humility, Cross, sacrifice, shed blood, death and Resurrection from the grave. As John the apostle who recorded Jesus’ above words also wrote, which is among the most well known Scriptures, declaring, “For God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son, so that every one who believes in Him shall not be lost, but should have eternal life.” - John 3:16

Jesus is the one in whom all our sin, guilt and shame are taken away. To have wholehearted faith in God’s Son - the Lord Jesus, is what it means to be born again. “If anyone is in Jesus, the Messiah, they have become an entirely new person. The old has gone. The new has come. Everything is fresh and new” - 2 Corinthians 5:17 (TPT). This is my testimony and my heritage.

1996 - The Calling

It was in Bendigo, Victoria, in March 1996 that I heard Jesus calling, saying, “Follow Me!” As He said to Nicodemus, “For the Spirit-Wind blows as it chooses. You can hear its sound, but you don’t know where it came from or where it’s going. So it is the same with those who are Spirit-born!” - John 3:8 (TPT). Wisdom also says, “A person’s steps are directed by the Lord. How then can anyone understand their own way” - Proverbs 20:24.

Beginning in Tasmania, then throughout Australia and beyond, I have spoken in numerous settings across the breadth of the church, led many gatherings in various places across cultures and generations, overseen houses of prayer and prayer watches, written numerous articles and authored books. All to strengthen, sharpen and encourage believers, and make the Lord Jesus known as the extraordinary Saviour, Lord and Friend that He is.

Beginning in October 2021 along with Tina Maree, we lead Streams, a Zoom Sunday morning fellowship for those throughout and beyond Australia (contact for more details).
