The Wisdom of Humility

The greatest treasure that earth can know, that the world has, and that we can embrace, is the wisdom of God.

He has made and is making Himself, His wisdom and ways known.

All that is happening, past, present and future, is revealing the distinction between the spirit of our thoughts about and toward God, and what He is truly like.

Yielding and adjusting our hearts to the truth, the way things really are, requires “the humility that comes from wisdom” - James 3:13.

This humility has been shown to us, in and through the Son of God, who said, “For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted” - Luke 14:11.

We lack the wisdom that we cannot truly know life and peace without, when we elevate our thoughts about and toward God above His.

At the centre of the tremendous conflict and contention raging on earth between people, groups, families, tribes and nations, is the pride or humility of our spirit.

Surrendering to the wisdom of God is to know the true love and grace of God, and peace with God, only found in His Son, the Lord Jesus. For, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace and shows favour to the humble” - James 4:6; 1 Peter 5:5.

A day is dawning and a day is at hand that marks our placing the Spirit and voice of God over ours, or ours over His. “The Lord Almighty has a day in store for all the proud and lofty, for all that is exalted… The arrogance of man will be brought low and human pride humbled; the Lord alone will be exalted in that day” - Isaiah 2:12, 17.
